The storied history of KITZ SCT began in 1982, when the company’s foundation was initially established as KITZ Joint Tool Corporation—engaging in the purchasing and sales of materials and fittings for piping systems. Changing the corporate name to KITZ SCT (Super Clean Technology) Corporation in 2001, KITZ acquired a semiconductor-related business from Benkan UCT Corporation.

1984, July	Benkan’s Development Division begins research development of the SCV valve and SCF coupling for use in the semiconductor production process.
1987, October	Design work begins on prefabricated housing and units (SCU).
1988, December	Production of micro-coupling joints (SCM) begins at Haneda Research Center.
1989, July	UCT Division is established within Benkan to produce UCT products. Additionally, an SC factory equipped with super clean rooms is established at the Gunma works, which had been involved in production for nuclear energy industry.
1991, February	Production of SCV and coupling joints (CVC) begins at the SC factory.
1992, July	ISO 9002 international quality assurance certification is achieved. Orders received from abroad.
1992, September	UCT Division is made independent of Benkan; Benkan UCT Corporation is formed.
1993, April	Production of vacuum-type valves and couplings begins.
1994, November	Production of all-resin valves made from PFA, Teflon, etc., begins.
1995, April	MITI High Pressure Gas accreditation achieved (N Class valves, N II Class couplings).
1996, October	Commence sales of vacuum gate valves.
1997, February	Commence sales of integrated gas panels.
1997, November	ISO 9001 certification is achieved.
1998, October	0.1 µm clean room at SC factory is expanded.
